I am wondering if it is possible to cook tempeh in a slow cooker/crock pot. Has anyone tried it – what did you do and how did it come out?
Also – did you need to brown it or poach it first?
Also – has anyone ever tried converting a slow cooker recipe written using meat (I’m eying a chicken one, here) and using tempeh instead? What did you do to convert it and how did it turn out?

I’m sure you can. I’ve never tried to cook tempeh or tofu in a slow cooker. I would suggest browning it and putting it in later than usual or it might get soggy/fall apart. (That is, cook it fully separately and then add it at the end, so it has enough time to heat through.)
